Each Student will be assigned 1 week in which he/she is the "junior ranger" for the week. The Jr. Ranger will be the special helper for the week and will also be given special projects and privileges each day as follows:
Monday - Take home our class pet, Scout, for the week (don't worry - he's plush). Scout loves bedtime stories & snuggles.
Tuesday- Bring the "All About Me" bag (provided) back to school with 3 to 4 special items to show the class. Items may include favorite toy, souvenir from vacation, something related to an extracurricular activity or hobby, family photograph, or other object of special significance to the student.
Wednesday - Bring your favorite book to school. We will read it during closing circle.
Thursday - Bring your favorite snack or treat to share with the class.
Friday- Bring Scout back to school and tell us about your adventures together.
Children really enjoy this opportunity to be in the spotlight and share their unique interests and experiences with the class. Furthermore, by participating in these special projects and presentations, children gain confidence and self-esteem while practicing speaking skills.
